I’m in my middle essence.
What does that mean? It means I’m a 56-year old, with a lived experience that I bring to our sessions. I’m in in the midst of changes every day, and have spent years working on who I am and how I want to be in my life.
I’m a boy mom.
My son is nearing the teenage years. That’s exciting to imagine. I can’t wait to witness his growth and change as he leaves young childhood behind. Kids, step-kids, blended families — all are a part of my experience. Just this week, we realized that my son is now half an inch taller than me.
I’m a dog mom.
At various points, I’ve also been a cat mom. Currently, I have two dogs. They are part of our family. Roxy and Lucky show up on my Instagram from time-to-time, so you can check them out there. And you can follow @roxygoldenseattle to keep up with her adventures.
I’m a partner.
I’ve been married to my partner for over twenty years. He laughs at me because I can’t recall the exact number of years. However, I do know our anniversary date, just not the year… I know the year if I take my ring off and look inside. Relationships are fun and work and compromise. I bring this experience to our sessions.
I’m pro plant medicine.
There is no stigma or judgment from me if you have a relationship with plant medicine. I have a relationship with various kinds of plant medicine. If you want to know more, please ask. It’s also okay in my world to not be interested in earth medicines. It’s all good.
I’m a lifelong learner.
I’ve studied and read, taken trainings and certifications, had experiences and explored in my life. I love learning new things. I love technology. I love travel and learning about cultures other than my own. I continually learn about myself, with a regular self-hypnosis practice, as well as a regular breathwork practice in community. I bring all of this experience to our sessions. I also look forward to learning from you. What interests you? What new idea will I learn from you? What experience will you share that will impact my life?
I live in Seattle.
I moved to the Pacific Northwest over twenty years ago. It is home for now and I love it, but I can feel change stirring. One chapter of our lives will come to a close when my son finishes high school, so who knows where we’ll be after that. Maybe somewhere with more sun.
I used to have corporate and nonprofit jobs.
I worked in the technology space for 25 years as a producer, project manager, account executive and more. I shifted to nonprofit work and was the operations director for a midsize nonprofit. Then I wanted change and decided to become a health coach and then a life coach, with hypnosis shortly following as I found my calling. Along the way the brilliant duo of Melissa Tiers and Simone Seol entered my life. I continue to study with both of these women and they continue to facilitate change and growth for me. I bring all of this lived experience to our sessions.
I work virtually.
I’ve worked virtually since 2008, first as the homepage producer for MSN on the New York shift while at my home in Seattle, then on to other tech positions and nonprofit work. I am accustomed to and adept at communicating over the Internet. Zoom sessions are normal for me, and have been for a very long time.
